This week I made a poster about...

Kia ora! Welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to share with you my poster that I made about how to write a quality blog post,  and write a quality comment.

Our learning intention this week is, identify key words which when comnbined with prior knowledge, will help with understanding. Our learning intention is there so that we will focus on that and make it our goal.

My poster had to include the steps to making a good blog and what each of those steps meant. I drew arrows leading to a little blurb about the topic. After some color, the poster was finished.

Here is my poster that I have made. If you don't know what the B's mean on either side of the title, it is the blogger logo. I did my poster on paper to be creative, instead of digitaly.

Thank you for reading my blog today. I hope you enjoyed looking at my poster and seeing all that I have learnt about how to make a good blog post.

What was your favourite bit about my blog?

How to write a....

Kia ora and welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to share with you how to write a quality blog post.

First, you need to write the title. The title needs to be catchy to hook the reader in. For example, 'I opened the door and saw something I could not explain, a...'

Next is the introduction. You explain your topic to the reader. For example, 'Hello! Today I am going to tell you about my Saturday soccer match.'

Then, you write the paragraphs you need to tell your story. You can choose how many you do, you might only need one if you have a picture.

After that, you add in the conclusion, it will conclude your blog with a breif summary of your topic. For example, 'Paris is a beautiful city, with so many things to see and do.' That is a conclusion.

Lastly, you end your blog with a question, like, 'Have you ever played soccer?',or, 'What is your favourite sport?' The question is to encourage comments.

For my conclusion, the five things you need for a good blog is, title, introduction, paragraphs, conclusion and question.

Have you learnt something new from my blog?

My learning about the Rosary

Kia ora and welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to share with you about my literacy board Rosary learning. But you might not know what a literacy board is for us in the Tumu Hub. A literacy board is a google slide that updates every week with a new topic. This weeks topic was the Rosary. First thing on the literacy board is learning. The board has a few links to  some articles about the topic. You read them until your mind is full about what the topic is. Then you create. The create might be a poster, a slide, a doc or maybe a video. After you create it and have it checked by a teacher, you share it, which I am doing on a blog, this blog. Here is my poster create for the Rosary beads. I had to make the Rosary beads and explain how to pray it with what prayer you need to know. I have created this using lines and shapes.

Thank you for reading. Have you ever prayed the whole rosary?

Coke and mentos challenge!

Kia ora and welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to share with you about the coke and mentos explotion we did and how the coke and the mentos explode.

First thing we did, was put four mentos in a 2.25 litre bottle of coke and watched it explode. It didn't go to high, but it did explode. Here is the video

This is how the coke exploded when we put the mentos in. When the mentos is put in the coke, all the carbon dioxide is attracted to the mentos which causes the soda to be squezzed in, and needs a way to get out. That is why the coke explodes, because it gets trapped and that is the only way out of the bottle. Here is an animation I made to help you understand.

Chicken weak

This week for dinner we had a chicken week. We didn't plan for it, but every night of the week we had chicken, except for one day, wednesday. It started on Sunday, when we had roast chicken, monday butter chicken, Tuesday we had what we call Mum's chicken because she makes it when usually Dad cookes the chicken, Wednesday was roast lamb and potatoes, Thursday we had some kind of chicken stew which included mashed potato, vegetables and of course chicken. And tonight we are having cordon bleu (ham and cheese inside a bit of chicken). I wonder what the weekend's dinner will be?

Thanks for reading my blog. Have you ever had nearly one meal all week?
