My super scratch project

Kia ora Koutou! Welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing with you what I have been doing in past week while in lockdown. I have been making some scratch projects on scratch and I am going to tell you about them.

My first project -
My first project was a story about an evil witch. The witch is an evil witch who wants to turn everbody evil. She has a poor sad goblin servant who has to take orders just to get dinner evrery day. But he longs to be with his family and never smiles. Here is the link to my project

My next project -
My next project was a small game that I made. It wasn't a really good game because I had never used scratch before to make a game. So I made up a game that was just a starter. It was a game where you had to hit the ball by pressing the space button. But because I had never made a game I couldn't quite figur out how to make something happen when the ball hit the player. Here is the link to my project

My last project -
My last one all I did was scroll through the sprites ( character  ) and choose one to put in a show. I chose the balllerina and did that three times so that three ballerinas would dance instead of one. But they all looked the same so I changed them up to be different. Then I made them dance around the stage. Here is the link to my project

Thank you for reading my blog. I will post more about scratch once I have made some more!!!

Who needs a catchy title when you have a catchy story?

I come in many shapes,
 sizes and colors.
I stick to many surfaces but
I am in fact not stiky at
all.
What am I?

Kia ora koutou! Welcome back to my blog! Today I'm going to share with you my PBL reflection.
This term, our Project Based Learning (PBL) started with the teachers putting us into groups. We had to collaboratively create Jolly Jars for the school fair. This task helped us to begin exploring our PBL question for the term - How can we build community through our actions? We had to research ideas, be creative with our product, experiment with our materials and write instructions that could be followed by others.

I learnt that instructions need to be easy to read for others and have the materials that aren’t already provided. They need to have a title and need to have numbered steps

Reflection on PBL:
For our Jolly Jar my group decided to put instructions and the things you need to make laminated paper magnets. These magnets were exciting because there were 12 with A word in English on it like Tree or Sun and then on the other 12 would be the answers in Maori to those words.

I contributed to my group by buying the magnets and designing the cards

Our Jolly Jar was creative because instead of saying Magnets jolly jar on the front it had a riddle saying:
I come in many shapes, sizes and colors. I stick to many surfaces but I am in fact not sticky at all
What Am I?

What I learned about working with others was you can do a lot of things with new people. It's sometimes easier to work things out  with people you aren’t too familiar with. But you can make such good friendships and know alot more about other people if you do!

We built community through our actions by helping NZ and Christchurch start to keep the Maori language a common language in NZ because otherwise if no one can speak it, it won’t be a language anymore.
