Another knowledge

This week in kaupeka we were tasked to another knowledge test with another goal. The goal I chose was a L4 goal and it was: Say the number 1 /1000, 1 /100’, 1 /10, 1, 10, before or after. I did my work in my book copying off these questions:

I then took a photo and uploaded it to this page:

Thank you for reading, maybe challenge yourslef to answer one of the question I had to do, and comment your answer!

Oh no! There's a sheep on the loose...

This week our goal is: Select from a wide range of genres when reading independently. We were tasked to create this blog and share our new learning About these articles: Blues win trans-tasman rugby title Runaway sheep on the loose in New Plymouth Should we keep pets?

Blues win trans - tasman rugby title

Title: Blues win trans - tasman rugby title

My opinion, because I don’t like the blues, is that there should be two tournaments and the winner of each tournament , the Australian tournament and New Zealand tournament and then the winners of each tournament v each other. The shapes they used were Titles, Describing words, paragraphs..

Title: Runaway sheep on the loose

My opinion on the text is that they should set up a trap for the sheep to go into and then the sheep will be caught. Some of the shapes they have used a headline pun, and paragraphs.

Should we keep pets?

Title: Should We Keep pets?

My opinion is that we should keep pets so we can have company and so the dogs can be looked after and not be treated badly. Also I think that if you go away a lot then you have to leave your pet alone But I would rather have a pet with me to keep me company

My learning went great because I learned some cool new information and how to identify different genres!

Elsha's Awesome Week

Kia ora! Today I will be sharing about my reading this week, my writing this week, and my maths. First of, Maths.

This week for maths was our maths knowledge test. We had to choose a goal we were working on, and complete a test to prove we can do that specific goal. I chose the goal, 'Order decimals to 3 decimal places', were we know what we call the digits in decimals, how wee order them, and then we group them. Here is a screenshot of the questions I was answering:

And in my book, I wrote the answers:
Next, Reading, This week for reading, we were learning about Matariki. Matariki is a cluster of nine stars, all with their own name. We were tasked to create an infographic about it, to teach others. We had to include a story about how it became, what it is about, and the names of the stars. Here is mine:

And last, writing. This week for writing we were looking at newspapers, and articles. We created a  doc which all the things we learned were on and an example of what it is. And then at the end, we rewrote the article ourselves. Here is what I wrote:

Poor Bear Family is been made porridge-less

Police capture Miss Goldilockes, mischief making thief. Is your house locked? It is said that she had planned this her whole life, to sneak into this house, and steal this porridge. The baby - bear stated, “My chair was broken, and my breakfast was ruined! She even slept in my bed!” The family is going to starve to death! 99% of the community are tempted to flee from their country! Other sus  thugs have been lurkin around, make sure you keep your house locked. “It is disgraceful! Oh the poor brown bears! What a disturbance!” Stated an elderly lady who lives in a cottage at the center of the woods.

Within the neighbourhood, there have been some more terrible crimes! Such as vandalism, stealing, loitering in properties and more. Also, police have a new update, they will now have tasers at all times, and install some undercover police. They will be answering every call immediately, and be guarding the national porridge vault. So, next time you see a young hipster roaming around, call the police and get them to the big house!

Topple!

Kia ora, welcome back to my blog. This week I have something AWESOME to share with you, my MATHS. This week for maths we spent Tuesday working on perimetre and area, and then Wednesday was volume and metric units. We were then tasked yesterday, to create a game for the Top Team challenge. It is all about team building, with a whole lot of challenges. If my game wins, it will be part of a top team game! We had to add all the realting units to the game, if it was going to be entered. Here is my game!

Thank you for reading my blog. I really hope my game gets through. What was your favourite part of the game?
