I drew a toucan!

Kia ora and welcome back to my blog! Today I will be sharing with you about my Friday drawing of a toucan. I followed 6 steps all showing me how to draw a toucan. Then once I had finished drawing it, I coloured it in! Here is a picture of my toucan.

Have you ever seen a toucan?

  1. Hey Elsha, I was really impressed with the way you concentrated so hard on making sure each step you did was exactly how you wanted it, before you moved on. You did a brilliant job of copying the steps, and then colouring it in. I also thought it was interesting that you actually did two drawings - the first one you did really quickly, but you weren't thrilled with the outcome, and so you revised your strategy and went back and started again, this time taking more care, erasing the bits that weren't to your liking, and then carrying on. I think the way you learned from your previous experience and adjusted your behaviour accordingly shows that you're great at learning and adapting. Well done!

  2. Also, I don't think I have seen a Toucan. Unless there's one at Willowbank maybe? We might have to go there some time after lockdown to have a look!

  4. Hi Elsha
well done on your drawing of the toucan. As your Mum said it's equally impressive that you redid your drawing when you weren't satisfied with the original result. That demonstrates perseverance and determination instead of just settling for something that you weren't happy with. I would be intrigued to know if we have a toucan anywhere in Christchurch too! What an exciting place to look forward to visiting in the future, what is the thing you are most looking forward to doing?

  5. Hi Elsha
I really like the toucan that you drew. Who gave you that idea? What are the six steps?
