Kia ora, welcome back to my blog. This blog is about my Reading. We were learning about community. We looked at the benefits and disadvanteges of being in a community. Some of the advanteges are, you get new friends, the more hands the quicker things get done, you have people to share your ideas with and you have people to support you. Some disadvanteges are, you might have events when you want to do something else, it might be a bad community and they aren't nice, or maybe they just don't support you. We read a poem inspired by the beautitudes. Here is my unique poem:

What's the destination?
Kia ora and welcome back to my blog. This blog should be quick, because I only have one thing to share with you. In my math class this week, we were doing grid references and compass directions. We had to create something that showed our understanding of them. I created a map with a path to follow:
Try doing this yourself!
The directions are:
Start at p6, then move north 3 spaces, east 2 spaces, south 3 spaces,
west 10 spaces, south 2 spaces, west 4 spaces, where are you?
5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables.
Kia ora, and welcome back to my blog. This blog is about the ten poems I wrote for our create week 6. We were learning about poem writing, and learnt about 4 different poem types. This included, Rhyming, Shape poem, Haiku and riddle. I chose a haiku, 10 actuually. The structure of a haiku is,
First line: 5 syllables
Second line: 7 syllables
Third line: 5 syllables.
I wrote ten of these, not all of them were my best work because it was hard to think of the words but some of them I loved. Here they are:

Jiggly Jelly Cake
Kia ora, this week in the Kaupeka Hub we have been learning about hobbies. Our goal is: use knowledge from text to combine with new ideas (own and others) to come up with new thinking. I have learnt that a hobby is something you like to do, such as a sport or another activity that brings you happiness. We were tasked to create something that showed our understanding of hobbies, or create a video teaching someone how to do your hobby. I created a video about baking. I made lots of seperate videos then combined them and edited it, maybe you could try this while you are in lockdown!
What kind of mindset do you have?
Kia ora welcome back to my blog. In this blog I will share about my new learning on a growth mindset. This week in Kaupeka hub we have been learning about a growth mindset and a fixed mindset. This is a growth mindset and fixed mindset.
